This course explores the fine art of putting great ideas into action. A practical masterclass where you’ll develop your knowledge and skills around rapid prototyping for testing assumptions.
This course is about “making and breaking”. You will develop, test and refine your own designs as you learn tried and true ways of approaching this generative form of research. Activities will unlock new skills and you’ll learn about key concepts along the way.
This is suitable for people new to design or those needing a refresher on how to plan, design and test out ideas. If you need support we encourage support staff, carers, children, and interpreters to join.

In this course, you’ll experience three ways of learning
This course is for folks who are:
/ in design projects that generate 100's of ideas and are ready for the next step
/ navigating project sponsors who are risk-averse or feel unsure about progressing work
/ in teams that find themselves building products and services built entirely on a hunch
/ on committees or working groups in conflict or unable to decide on what to prioritise or launch
/ looking to reconnect with making things to see how they work
There are three stages to Top Tasks training:
1. Top Tasks Identification
2. Task Performance Indicator
3. Top Tasks Classification
For the optimal experience, it's best you have access to a working computer so you can engage with the live and interactive workshop. A high-internet speed connection + webcam are the two suggested items to get the most out of the course.
