Geke is co-founder and Strategy Director of STBY in London and Amsterdam - specialising in design research for service innovation, and working for clients in industry and public sector.

Geke has a background in ethnographic research, user-centered design, services strategy, and design-driven business innovation.

Since founding STBY in 2003, she has been one of the early pioneers in the fields of Service Design and Design Research. She frequently publishes, teaches and presents on these topics.

She holds a PhD in Computer Sciences from the Open University in the UK, co-supervised by the Business School of the OU. She is co-founder of the REACH Network for Global Design Research, initiator and former chair of the Service Design Network Netherlands, and currently member of the Program Board of ClickNL.
