What is the difference between coaching and mentoring?

In a mentoring relationship the mentor guides the mentee in the right direction, making use of knowledge, expertise and experience.

In a coaching relationship the coach partners with clients in a non-directive creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. 

We are on your side

It is important to understand that our mentors and coaches do not tell you what to do, how to do it, or do the work for you. They will bring their “savoir-faire” to challenge you and ask you just the right questions, allowing you to find the answers you’re looking for.


How does it work?




01 Chemistry meeting


1/2 hour
(free of charge)

  • It all starts with a half-hour “chemistry meeting” (free of charge). You will share your motivation, goals and personal needs with your chosen expert and together you’ll decide if there is enough “chemistry” to start a coaching or mentoring track.

      02 Contracting and goal setting

      • Your first “onboarding” session will consist of defining the context for coaching/mentoring, your objectives, success criteria and milestones.

      03 Coaching sessions

      • Going forward you’ll meet with your coach/mentor for a series of one-hour sessions during which you’ll review your progress, discuss learning and accomplishments and design new actions.

      04 Closing session

      • Review of the coaching experience and outcome

      Ongoing support

      as required
      (free of charge)

      The coach provides on-going support during the program between the session by email or any other available electronic medium
